Version 1.0 · Terms of Use

User Policy.

This page reproduces the in-app DuPDF User Policy. For App Store Terms of Use (EULA), including Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, see Terms of Use.

DuPDF uses Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement for App Store distribution: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. See also the Terms of Use (EULA) page.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the DuPDF application (“App”) or any related services (“Services”), you agree to be bound by this User Policy (“Terms”) and our Data Policy and Copyright Policy below. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, do not use the App. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any revisions. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Definitions and description of service

“We,” “us,” or “our” means SKNAAM Pvt Ltd, the operator of the DuPDF application. “App” means the DuPDF software application and any updates. “You” or “your” means the individual or entity using the App. DuPDF provides tools for viewing, annotating, signing, and managing PDF and image documents. The App is designed with a local-first approach: your documents, annotations, signatures, and related data are stored on your device. We do not host, transmit, or access your document content on our servers unless you explicitly use a feature that sends data to a third-party service of your choice. We do not guarantee availability of any third-party services or that the App will meet any particular use case.

3. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials or from unauthorized use of your account.

4. User obligations

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. You must not use the App to infringe any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; to distribute malware, spam, or harmful code; to harass, defame, or harm others; or to violate any export or use restrictions. You are solely responsible for the content you create, upload, or process with the App and for ensuring you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions.

5. Prohibited uses

You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law; (b) use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; (c) upload, process, or distribute content you do not have the right to use; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our or any third party’s systems, networks, or data; (e) use the App in any way that could harm, disable, overburden, or impair the App or others’ use of it; (f) remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices; (g) resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App except as permitted; (h) use automated means to access the App or extract data without our written permission; (i) circumvent any access or use restrictions. Violation may result in immediate termination and legal action.

6. Your content and intellectual property

You retain all rights to the documents and content you create, upload, or process using the App (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to use any content in the App. You represent and warrant that Your Content and your use of it do not violate any law or third-party rights. You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive rights necessary to operate and provide the App (e.g., processing on your device and, if you use optional features that transmit data, transmitting data as you direct). We do not use Your Content for marketing or any purpose other than providing the App to you.

7. Our intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, text, and branding, and all related intellectual property, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. “DuPDF” and related marks are our trademarks. You may not copy, modify, distribute, create derivative works of, or publicly display the App or its content except as expressly permitted (e.g., normal use of the App under these Terms). No license or right is granted to you by implication or otherwise except the limited right to use the App in accordance with these Terms.

7A. Search safety, minors, and parent supervision

We implement safeguards intended to improve search safety, including content moderation and filtering controls for search experiences. These safeguards are designed to reduce inappropriate or unsafe results, and we continuously improve them; however, no automated moderation system is perfect and some results may still be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate in context. By using search features, you acknowledge that generated, aggregated, or indexed results can contain mistakes. If you encounter accidental or misbehaving results, you should avoid relying on them and report them through available support channels.

For users under the age of majority, and especially younger children (including those under 10 years old), a parent or legal guardian should actively monitor and supervise search use. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether the App and its search features are appropriate for their child, enabling age-appropriate settings, and reviewing search activity as needed. Our safeguards are an aid, not a substitute for parental judgment or supervision.

7B. Beta document tools and user responsibility

Edit PDF Text and PDFtoW conversion are released as Beta features. Their workflows and results may not always be straightforward or exact. In some PDFtoW conversions, figures, images, or other visual elements may be positioned beneath text or text boxes; users should inspect the converted document carefully, including beneath or behind text boxes, before relying on, sharing, or publishing it.

When using Edit PDF Text, users should type slowly, allow the editing engine time to process each change, and follow all in-app notices. Rapid or inexperienced editing may cause overlapping, displaced, or otherwise unintended text and layout changes. The editor provides undo and redo for up to the last 10 committed edits, but this history is limited and is not a substitute for an independent backup.

Saving over a PDF under the same name may replace the working document and make unwanted changes irreversible, particularly if the user saves without undoing them and has no separate copy of the original. Users should preserve an independent backup and use Save As with a different name before experimenting. Users are responsible for reviewing results, preserving originals, and avoiding data loss caused by inexperienced editing, accidental actions, failure to follow notices, or careless use. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DuPDF is not responsible for such user-caused edits or data loss. Users are strongly encouraged to read the relevant user manuals before first using Edit PDF Text, PDF editing, or PDFtoW conversion.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT PROVIDE LEGAL, TAX, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE; THE APP IS A TOOL ONLY. USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THE LEGAL VALIDITY AND ENFORCEABILITY OF ANY SIGNATURES OR DOCUMENTS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP OR SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS OUR LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD, OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and our respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the App or Services; (b) Your Content or your violation of any third-party rights; (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; or (d) any dispute between you and a third party relating to the App or Your Content. App distribution and App Store listing operations are performed by SKNAAM Pvt Ltd. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you.

11. Subscription and payments

If you purchase a subscription or in-app product, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may manage or cancel subscriptions in your device’s App Store subscription settings. Refunds are subject to Apple’s refund policies; we do not control refund decisions. We may change subscription or product prices with notice; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance. All fees are in the currency of your App Store region and are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple’s policy.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or to comply with law. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution) will survive termination.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App, by in-app notice, or by other reasonable means. The “Last updated” date will be revised when changes are made. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India (or the jurisdiction in which the operator of the App is established), without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by law. You may have rights under your local consumer laws that cannot be waived by contract. Where permitted, you waive any right to participate in a class action or representative proceeding. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you cannot waive.

15. General

These Terms, together with our Data Policy and Copyright Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right. We may assign these Terms; you may not assign without our written consent. No third party has any rights under these Terms.

16. Contact (User Policy)
